The Pet Care Innovation Prize gets to see the exciting pet care startup ecosystems at our events each year. In 2019, the Prize met hundreds of startups and aspiring pet care entrepreneurs in events across the US.
Special thanks to our presenting venues for providing some great space for events – IndieBio (San Francisco), Betamore (Baltimore), Thinkspace (Seattle), GSVlabs (Boston), NYC Pet Tech Meetup and WeWork (New York City), and Plug and Play and 1010 (Los Angeles).
At the events, pet care founders, investors, industry influencers, and Purina experts addressed key ideas for founders like:
- How does a pet care startup succeed?
- What are the trends in the pet care industry?
- Where can a pet care founder find inspiration?
- What’s interesting about the pet care industry right now?
- What’s so special about pets and pet care?
Check out this highlight video from the events to see what our panelists had to say about these questions and more.
A lot of great startups doing great things in pet care were showcased at these events, too. A few of them we were privileged to meet included:
Adopets, Chippin, CleverPet, Dropdog, GoPetie, Gotyu, Hot Dawg, Local Dawgs, New Road, Okava Pharma, Pet Connect, Puppy Mama, Rex Veterinary Software, Shake it Pup, Shed Defender, v-dog, Vetted and VRX.
Keep up the great work startups! And don’t forget, the PCIP will award at least $10,000 to a few of the best – but you have to apply by September 27, 2019 to qualify for 2020.
