You’re not alone! We meet lots of pet care founders like yourself. While you’re doing something amazing, you might not be plugged into a larger community of pet care founders that you can learn from and be encouraged by.
Part of what the PCIP does is to help pet care startups find their peers and support each other. We hold events with startups, investors, and industry leaders at major industry events, at exclusive events like the Pet Care Innovation Summit, and in cities like yours.
Whether it’s public events for aspiring or new founders or exclusive events for startups we work with more closely, we believe getting together helps everyone succeed. Here are a few ways founders like yourself get plugged into a much larger ecosystem with the Pet Care Innovation Prize and the Pet Care Innovation Network:
- PCIP Boot Camp: PCIP Winners get their travel covered to attend a free boot camp all about growing a pet care startup. Held partly on Purina’s campus, which a past attendee said was like the “Google of pet care,” the boot camp provides content tailored to each year’s Winners and prepares them to make the most of a free trip to Global Pet Expo.
- Global Pet Expo and SuperZoo: Whether it was our PCIP Winners pitching at Global Pet Expo, the world’s largest pet industry trade show, or our PCIN members speaking at SuperZoo and gathering for a private dinner with Purina executives and pet industry influencers, the PCIP gives Winners unique industry access and visibility.
- Regional Events: We visited six cities in 2019 to celebrate the local pet care startup ecosystems in those cities. Check out this video recap of the events we held with pet industry experts and startups, addressing what inspires founders, how they got started, what’s interesting in pet care today, and more.
- Pet Care Innovation Summit: Imagine an intimate group of founders, investors, and industry innovators learning from and supporting each other and building their businesses. That’s what past winners of the PCIP get at the Pet Care Innovation Summit each year.
Past PCIP winners have also started their own groups like NYC Pet Tech Meetup and Pet Tech LA – either join them or start your own group!
You don’t have to be alone as a pet care startup, looking for peer support! Plug into these activities by applying for the PCIP today!
